The other night, when Jim and I were out for a dinner at our alma matter, we stopped at a pharmacy on the way home. I hadn’t been in that particular pharmacy since college and I laughed to myself, remembering how I used to drop off my disposable cameras to get pictures developed. It used to be so much harder to take and print pictures and yet, I feel like we took the time to do it… for the most part. In our last move, I actually found an undeveloped disposable camera that we think was from Jim’s bachelor party. (Safe to say, that one is buried in a sock drawer.) With social media becoming the baby books of this generation, we don’t really have the same sense of urgency to get actual photos developed. The good news is, when we want to, it’s a lot easier now.
Parabo Press is a photo printing service that makes it simple to take pictures off your phone and get them into your hands. This week they’re giving away a $100 gift card to one lucky fan of Recovering Corporate! (See the details in the closing of this post.)
From the Parabo Press app you can print photos from Instagram, Facebook, Dropbox, or your phone’s camera roll. The 4″ square prints come 25 to a pack, are printed on extra thick matte paper, and have a crisp white border. (You have the option to upgrade to 5.5″ squares too.) Parabo Press also makes photo books, calendars, and larger risograph and engineer prints.
I was cruising the hashtag #parabopress for some display ideas and I’m going to give this one a try. It looks easy enough! I just need to find a good branch. Here are the fun squares I received from my last order.
This week, Parabo Press is giving one Recovering Corporate reader a $100 gift card! To enter, leave a comment below by midnight Friday (4/22/16). A winner will be chosen at random on Saturday and will be contacted directly by email. Good luck! [UPDATE: A winner has been randomly chosen and notified by email. Thanks for all of your wonderful comments!]
Bonus for all Recovering Corporate fans – Get 25 FREE square prints (all you pay is shipping!) using code RCCSQ at checkout. Valid for first time Parabo Press customers only and pssst! order today for delivery by Mother’s Day with standard shipping. You can download the app here.
Thank you, Parabo Press!
I don’t think I’ve gotten pictures printed since I was in college. It is scary what technology does to our lives. Pictures are now something that you scroll through on the iPhone, they’ve kind of lost that sentimental value

I love making photo albums and giving them as gifts. A photo on a thank you card from a birthday party is the best.

I had the same thought on the cards! I may start doing photos on thank you cards for the kids. The Parabo Press ones are easy to write on, too.

What a wonderful idea, Rachel! I can’t remember the last time I printed pictures out – it seems so sad to have all of these pictures that just sit in a cloud in cyberspace. Having a new baby at home, my phone is almost full thanks to all of the pictures I have taken (one can’t ever have enough pictures of a sleeping baby, right?), so maybe it’s time I print some of them out:)

For sure! There is no such thing as to many sleeping baby pics, Jinan! My phone seems to always be full. That was one piece of advice I never received and probably should have — moms need to opt for the larger memory phone. You need it!
