We spent Saturday in Truckee and yesterday, Jim and I had a babysitter come over for a couple of hours so we could get some work done together.

We grabbed some lunch and headed to his office downtown. Have I yet mentioned that I am taking a short 7-week certification course in project management? The course work is a prerequisite to taking the PMP exam and was something I had wanted to do but didn’t have the extra time before now. Our little outing wasn’t quite a date, but it was quiet and protected time together and we both were able to get ahead of our week. (One thing that was great about working was having protected time after work to get a few personal things done, which now take me twice as long with the constant stream of interruptions at home.)

After putting the girls down last night we watched a couple of episodes of Aziz Ansari’s new show on Netflix, Master of None. The dialogue is quick, the characters are diverse and interesting, and the material is relatable, honest, and funny. We’re hooked.
