Housekeeping

This word takes on three meanings for me.

    1. Where we used to ride our bikes to in Yosemite to take showers when we were camping.
    2. Part of my current job description that I loathe.
    3. That first part of conference calls when the moderator sets up expectations for the meeting and highlights key components of the agenda.

You’ll be happy to know I’m doing all three of these today; I totally showered this morning and washed my hair (screaming child pounding on the glass, a bonus), I plan on cleaning later, and here’s a little update on the blog front.

First, I want to say THANK YOU all so much for reading. There is nothing more encouraging than words of support from you and seeing the number of page views climb every month. I was reminded again last weekend as my mom dropped off a bag of old journals that I’ve always been a writer. This blog is such a gift to practice what I love and connect with all of you over issues that are important to us. You inspire me to keep at it, every day. If you have any topics you want to see me bring up, please drop me a line! I’d love to hear from you and start a meaningful conversation.

I’ve been giving some thought to my posting schedule and wanted to keep you updated on my new plan so there are no surprises. Here’s what’s what. I’m going to continue posting daily, Tuesday through Friday. Every other Friday I’ll publish a new edition of Things I’ve Googled. I’m starting to ramp up my interviews for the How she does it series, so you can look forward to more of those coming soon. (Click here if you want to nominate yourself or someone you know to be considered for a future HSDI post.)

I’ve got some great posts lined up for you the rest of the week, including a story about Jim’s biggest fear (can you guess what it is?), a Mother’s Day gift guide, and tomorrow, a special offer and exciting giveaway!

Catch you guys back here in the morning. Thanks again for being so awesome. xo
